Although the JBL system is more powerful than the standard system, a number of our customers choose to upgrade their head unit. The remaining 5% have the upgraded JBL amplified system. A standard non-amplified system is prevalent in around 95% of OUR customer base. Toyota offers two types of stereo systems in the Toyota Tacoma. Most manufacturers will provide the size (DIN) for our new head unit. The US standard for a DIN radio is 2″ x 7″ and the double DIN sized radio is a 4″ x 7″. Since the ToyTec kit comes with (what i believe is) everything and no other items would need to be purchased to lift the front and back, the price for the kit is final (not including installation). The ICON kit doesn't come with U Bolts so i'm guessing i'd need to purchase those also ( i have no idea how much those will run, probably not much) but what other parts would i need? extended brake lines, etc.
But what other parts would i need that obviously would make the difference grow. So you guys have confirmed my thought that for $200 more, go for the ICON kit.
